Balsamic-Adobo Glazed Chicken Wings

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, divided
  • 1 lb chicken wings
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp lemon pepper
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
  • ½ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup Nonna Pia’s Classic Balsamic Glaze
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Green onions, to garnish

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pat wings dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, toss with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, garlic powder and lemon pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  4. Set air fryer to 400°F and cook for 8 minutes.
  5. Flip wings and cook for another 8 minutes, until golden and crispy.
  6. Meanwhile, heat the remaining oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Add minced garlic and black pepper.
  8. Sauté until garlic is fragrant and just beginning to brown at the edges.
  9. Stir in soy sauce, balsamic glaze, brown sugar and bay leaves.
  10. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes then remove from heat.
  11. When wings are cooked, add them to the pan and toss wings in the sauce until well glazed.
  12. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
